Understanding ADHD Coaching
Honest answers to common questions about ADHD coaching
-
ADHD coaching is a collaborative, strengths-focused, evidence-based way to support individuals to build skills such as time management, organisation, focus, and emotional regulation. It's different from therapy (which explores emotions, gaining insight, and developing healthier ways of coping with life’s challenges) and tutoring (which focuses on academic content). Coaching is about taking action with someone by your side. You and your coach work as a team, building on what’s already working and building skills and strategies to keep you moving forward.

ADHD coaching is a strengths-focused, evidence-based process where you meet one-on-one or in a small group with a coach to build practical skills like time management, focus, and emotional regulation. In each session, you choose what challenges or goals to explore, and your coach helps you apply proven strategies that work for your brain and your life—so you can move forward with clarity, confidence, and momentum.
